You can generalize this to all properties. When you combine two components, the properties of each aren’t guaranteed to hold in the combination.
It varies, right? Some properties are much easier to preserve than others when composing components.
Consistency is a horribly difficult one.
Proof carrying code properties like "this bytecode always leaves the same number of items on the stack regardless of which execution path it follows" tend to be feasible and sometimes even trivial to preserve when composing components.
