not related to the solution, but to the subject area. I used an Emacs Org mode to create a runnable test outcomes report. So the API calls were embedded into the Org mode formatted text. It worked well, I think, I provided a client with evididence what tests were executed, why the results were accepted, provided some interpretation of the API results etc. I think it worked pretty well.
