I'm using fjall v2 in the Rust event streaming store, cross.stream. xs is for personal scale so fjall is fairly overkill performance-wise. marvin_j97's benchmark work and deep dives into different database systems is incredible though. Looking forward to updating to v3.
Not sure if the author is reading but the three hues of blue you use for fjall v2 vs fjall v3 vs rusqlite in the benchmark graphs are very hard (at least for me) to visually distinguish.
Yeah, I’m having difficulty distinguishing those as well. I’m pretty sure I don’t have any colorblindness, but these appear very similar to me.
I'm trying to compare with redb which is currently my goto for small Rust applications.
Vec<u8> (which personally I don't use, but it is there)Is anyone aware if fjall has any wasm support?
Yeah, the choice could come down to, do you prefer the properties of a btree store, or an LSM store. If outright performance is a priority, fjall is likely your best pick. I've not heard any discussion around fjall and wasm. The discord is friendly if you wanted to discuss there https://discord.gg/HvYGp4NFFk
Oh this is amazing. I have been eyeing this for weeks now to help back some of my hobby project ideas.
