An AlphaStation's SROM

Fascinating… I know some CPUs will boot from serial EEPROMs and things like that (some IBM PowerPCs and recent Raspberry Pis at least? Also I think the GameCube did something funny with a serial ROM?) but streaming in raw i-cache array bits with parity and tags and even partial instruction decoding (!) is wild.

Thanks for reminding me I need to fix my Multia. Something’s wrong with the 3.3V rail, it’s getting quite hot. Suspecting there’s a short somewhere…
