Any lobsters currently active in any MUDs?
I play and run https://tempusmud.com/, which is about 30 years old now. The newbie experience is kind of rough still (again?) but once you're over the initial curve, it's pretty fun.
The broken Pinwheel link appears to want to be this https://www.andrewzigler.com/feed/pinwheel-mud-engine and subsequently the archived repo with a MIT license https://github.com/azigler/pinwheel
I am guessing it's archived due to the I later restarted this project as <a href="">zigmud</a> text but I'm tired of chasing comically 404 links
LPmuds killed my grade point average as an undergrad. Took a while to dig out from that hole.
I knew a couple of folks in that situation. One particular buddy I saw pretty much every time I entered the computer lab … that should probably have been a clue!
yeah I was very tempted to join the discworld mud when I was on grad school but given how much time I already spent on irc I knew it would not end well.
I love the MUD format and had great experiences in Imperian, Aetolia, and Shadows of Isildur, but I haven't played in years...
