Seeking Designer for a Small Company

A friend and I intend to start a business in the near future and would love to have a great human designer make us some great human (logo/web) designs. I am a programmer and painter by training but have no talent for graphic design and have no idea where to find great designers. So, I'd love to know if you know of any places to look/any great ones you have experience with.

We are primarily searching for help with our logo/branding and design for our launch website.

A few requirements:

Be a human person who does not use generative AI in design material.
Able to work freelance (at least until we have things off the ground)
An interest in making websites that don't look like this
Have a portfolio we can look at!

A few nice things:

An interest in space/spaceflight technology
Likes retrofuturism
Opinionated about fonts
Experience using Figma is useful but not required.

I am a programmer but had a graphic design phase a few years ago. During that time I used to post online too (https://www.instagram.com/piyasdesignfiles/ is the closest i have to a portfolio) and retrofuturism was one of the styles I was inspired by. I'd suggest contacting my friend Sam, he's recently gone freelance. Here is his portfolio. He's very type focused and has designed quite a few websites.
