The UI looks nice, and looks like an overall good feature. It'd be nice if it weren't tied to snap though. A generic fine-grained permission management interface integrated with the desktop environment, and usable any application packaging/sandboxing system would be great.
Canonical presented on this last year. From that, I gather that the architecture is decoupled and could be implemented without Snap.
Very exciting stuff; I am excited to see more UX over LSMs (Linux Security Modules).
