If it's so good, why is it not opt-in? Surely all the people that want it would show their support

I'm not an anti-LLM person compared to some of y'all on here, but this one is very gross to me.

There are a couple of other settings in that section you may want to consider disabling.

  Features: "Dashboard Entry Point" (disabled)
  
  Features: "Copilot-generated commit messages" (disabled)
  
  Privacy: "Suggestions matching public code" (blocked)
  
  Privacy: "Allow GitHub to use my data for AI model training" (disabled)
  
  Apparently, many other settings cannot be disabled because they are stuck at "Enabled" for me. Example: "Feature: Copilot coding agent" (I can't turn it off).
  
  I intentionally left "Visibility: Show Copilot" enabled because I want to observe where GitHub.com's AI journey is going. I thought that having this enabled is the reason why the other settings cannot be disabled, but that's not the case—some of the Copilot features are enabled no matter what.

    Pretty sure some are forced on for me because of my involvement with a CNCF project's github org. Maybe the ASF has similar issues?

    I have no idea, unfortunately. I would have said "I don't think so" if you hadn't added the note about CNCF's github org.
