Making Lua Compatible With What?

Put the goddamn work into succeeding Lua instead of leeching off a language you people all seem to fucking hate.

I suppose someone skipped their history lessons and should just fork their own version. Wow.

This is the first time I've seen the list of proposed luajit 3.0 extensions, and yeah, the situation is gnarly. Given the list of mutually incompatible syntax extensions between lua 5.2-5, luajit, and luau I think I'd pick luau every single time, almost entirely for the type checker. So seeing luajit intentionally introduce mutually incompatible syntax extensions with the same goals in mind does not fill me with hope...
