I really like the idea of Gadgetbridge, and I got it working on an old Mi Band, but after that, I found it a bit hard to find a wearable I liked that worked with that, was easy to source, etc.
UNTIL, I got a Bangle.js 2. It's not perfect, and it's main selling point is that it's much more OSS than most anything else, but I'm quite happy with it, albeit I have not really had the time to dabble in developing anything.
As for Gadgetbridge... it's deep. There's so many customization options that I can get lost. Decades ago I loved to dig into every submenu, but today I don't find that so effortless. And I had some connection problems until I switched an obscure option somewhere, so I think in most cases you have to investigate. OTOH, you can customize a ton of interesting things.
For my purpose of "notifications on my wrist", it's great that Gadgetbridge exists.
I have using Gadgetbridge with pebble in 2010s. My new pebble time is coming. And it's great to see Gadgetbridge is still there. Thanks all the developers in the community.
