Electric Motorcycles are a Security Nightmare

I have zero skin in the game re: electric motorcycles, but that was a beautiful drill-down. Loved the post.
So, what I'm taking from this is that potted circuits in epoxy still provide a modicum of safety against direct hardware access even if you have physical control over them. That's good to know I guess...
Are we sure that this was a security measure? Automotive circuits are frequently potted to prevent contamination by the tremendously-dirty environment.
It would not surprise me if these sorts of "kill the driver via malware" attacks become an actual problem in the somewhat near future, possibly targeting journalists or government officials. Maybe a more sophisticated version for self driving cars that takes control of the vehicle's route/speed to compel the driver to pay a ransom immediately.
if in close enough range (e.g. car following the driver), flipper zero with "dark" firmware could be just enough to shut down the machine.
The lack of security on these motorcycles is absolutely appalling. Zero should be ashamed of themselves.
I was interested in their mortocycles (off-road), but will stay with good ol' Husqvarna...
