I'm not too familiar with this space - what does this mean for an average m1 MBP owner (who might be interested in Asahi)?
It means Linux is usable on a M1 generation MacBook. Sadly this does not apply to M4 and later, and it's not clear how quickly they will progress without talent like Alyssa Rosenzweig and Asahi Lina having both left the Asahi project.
