Canonical takes over Flutter desktop maintenance & roadmap

The article goes out of the way to say that this isn’t Google washing its hands of flutter but it sure does seem like it. The typical route when a huge user wants sway over the design is to announce a group or foundation, not to hand it (desktop flutter, not all of it) over.

Sounds like Google is done with Flutter for desktop. That's a bummer, because I don't have a lot of faith that Canonical will do much with it. I like Flutter and Dart, so I'm a little bummed.
