Mull: note-taking with a language server / vscode extension

I've been writing notes as plain text files since forever, and it occurred to me that note-taking could benefit from the typical features that a language server provides: clickable links, autocomplete, hover previews, formatting, diagnostics, refactoring, etc. So I built a little language server and a vscode extension which adds syntax highlighting. Note-taking now feels more like writing code, and I get to use my favorite vscode keybindings (vim). Feedback is welcome!
This is a very cool concept! I'm curious what features require it to be an extension (if any) as opposed to a generic language server. And I wonder if I could plug it in to helix!
One example is "dimming" of all but the active page (the one that the cursor is on) to help you visually focus on one page at a time. But such features are rare; the vast majority of the functionality is provided by the language server so other language clients can still get most of the experience without the extension.
Likely paired well with harper-ls?
Thats a cool thing, too. Do you know how it compares to ltex-ls-plus? Afaik, that runns fully locally as well.
This is very close to an idea I'm kicking around as well, looks well done.
Why did you chose your own (markdown compatible?) markup over markdown + wikilinks?
Does this implement LSP? If so it could be consumed by other editors/IDE than vscode (namely helix).
It does! You can have your editor run it with mull language-server. I haven't tried it with helix, but if you do I'd love to hear how it goes! Please feel free to file issues on GitHub.
