An Update on Orion for Linux and Windows

Not surprising. They already can barely maintain the Mac version of Orion with how buggy it is. Adding Windows and Linux with their own custom frontends is a ton more development effort. Does Kagi even make the money to support a free browser?
And the motivation to maintain Orion on Windows and Linux does't exist. My understanding is that the reason for Orion to exist is that, on Safari (both desktop and web), it is impossible to use a custom search engine. There's a dropdown to select among Google, Yandex, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, and Ecosia. And Kagi isn't on that list.
So, on Mac and iOS, they need a browser just to make the search work in the address bar!
For that matter:
I use Orion on my iOS device. It works OK as the main driver for all mobile browsing. I agree that maintaining a browser is a gargantuan effort, but I do hope that either Kagi or someone else is successful in this effort, as the current landscape, we desperately need an alternative that works. I'm using Waterfox to write this message. Which works OK also.
