Pain in the dots

This reminds of a “trick” I learned recently for diff’ing and log’ing against the latest reflog entry to see what commits and changes have been pulled. https://still.visualmode.dev/blogmarks/104

Is there any documentation for why these are different, or is it a “these were developed independently and by the time they realized it it was too late”?

(I have a wn alias for diff master..., short for ‘what’s new’, to show me “my” changes even if I’ve fetched master after I branched off.)
